Lou Rosenfeld is Rosenfeld Media’s founder and publisher. Like many user experience folk, Lou started somewhere (library science), made his way somewhere else (information architecture), and has ended up in an entirely different place (publishing and conference production). Lou spent most of his career in information architecture consulting, first as founder of Argus Associates and later as an independent consultant, working with such organizations as Caterpillar, Paypal, Ford, AT&T, and the Centers for Disease Control. He co-founded the Information Architecture Institute, as well as the IA Summit, DesignOps Summit, Advancing Research, Enterprise UX, Civic Design, and Design in Product conferences. Lou has edited or co-authored five books, including the IA “bible,” Information Architecture for the Web and Beyond, and Search Analytics for Your Site. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, and posts regularly to LinkedIn.
