James Rampton is a lecturer at the University of Michigan, teaching user experience design to both undergraduate and graduate students. He teaches the largest UX class on campus as well as specialty classes on automotive UX and design systems. Prior to his academic career, he spent five years as a lead product designer at General Motors, where he worked on the user experience for vehicles such as the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Equinox EV.
