Dr. Paula Bach is a Research Manager at Microsoft leading the Data Cloud Studio Research team. Her career has spanned over a decade producing and evangelizing customer insights to help teams make more human-centered product decisions. She earned a PhD in Human Computer Interaction at the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University. During her career at Microsoft she has helped shape code review and software diagnostic experiences in Visual Studio, documented workflows of data scientists, data engineers and data analysts for Power BI and Azure Data Factory, studied launching and switching efficiencies in Windows, and helped make the web better through improved browser experiences. She currently manages a team of researchers making the lives of data professionals better across an ecosystem of data products and services.
