Marcea Kyria Stephens is the Director of Inclusion and Community Initiatives for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC), an organization focused on the next phase of Buffalo’s ongoing resurgence, cultivating inclusive innovation in partnership with our community. He is an ordained minister and former Family Pastor, and a published devotional writer for Stuff You Can Use. Kyria is the co-founder of 640 Strategies, a social sustainability consulting firm that focuses on working with business owners to advance and fortify their work in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility space once the training and seminars have ended. He has been leading DEAI initiatives at a number of Western New York organizations since 2010 and speaks regularly about this work and his experiences at conferences and symposia. He is also the co-owner of T&K Rentals and Party Supplies, a start-up venture he began in 2020.

Kyria’s life’s mission is to create and foster environments and experiences where people can develop meaningful relationships. He believes relationships are the currency of life. He works tirelessly to foster connections across the community and invite everyone to build new relationships to create integrated networks that will bring about a more resilient and inclusive City of Buffalo.

He received his B.A. in Business Administration from Buffalo State College. Kyria has also earned certifications in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and he serves on the Board of EforAll Buffalo, an organization dedicated to empowering and supporting diverse groups of entrepreneurs in starting or growing a business.
Kyria and his wife, Taneka Stephens, live in Buffalo and they have 3 children.
