Jerome “Axle” Brown
User Research Lead, Salesforce

I’m Jerome “Axle” Brown. I was made in the USA and was exported to Southeast Asia in 2015. While in Southeast Asia, I led Grab’s Transport, Geo, and Marketplace user research teams by using empathy, data, and technology to improve everything from transportation to payments across a region of more than 620M people.

Before Grab, I drove innovation in corporations and civic organizations like the White House (Obama Admin 1st and 2nd term), Singapore Airlines, FedEx, Heineken, Open Master’s Program, and ING by applying rigorous user research to thoughtfully design products and services that users love. Now, I am leading research at Salesforce where I get to define our next generation citizen developer ecosystem.

When I am not using my head, heart, and hands to hack user experiences, you can find me outdoors trying to catch JAWS on weekends at a local fishing hole, doing meditation and yoga in my living room, or baking my grandma’s pound cake (I keep her recipe in my wallet).
