Betsy Ramaccia is a design researcher, strategist, and facilitator with more than 15 years of experience in social sector design. Prior to her role as Director of Design Research at Coforma, she led a range of design projects, from overcoming disparities in Black and Latinx homeownership, to increasing access to childcare in rural communities. She also previously founded an action civics non-profit called Why We Work Here, which taught human-centered design in high school classrooms as a means to address local challenges with homegrown solutions. Through her work, Betsy strives to push the limits of the design process, so that it can be a force for creating more equitable systems, inclusive communities, and empathetic leaders.
