Andrea Schneider
Project Manager and Lead, United States Digital Service

Andrea Schneider (she, her) is a product manager and lead the United States Digital Service (USDS) team at the Social Security Administration, currently focusing on reimagining SSA.gov so people can quickly find the right information to complete the tasks they came to do. She previously worked on the USDS team at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where 

She built the online application for Disability Compensation. This application reduced the amount time it took for the VA to deliver benefits to Veterans by ~50%. Prior to joining USDS, Ms. Schneider served as the Director of Product at the IRS, where she launched many successful online tools to help taxpayers. She has an M.S. in Information Technology from Johns Hopkins 

University, and a B.A. in Government from the University of Maryland. Ms. Schneider has been a lifelong public servant and a supporter of live music of almost every genre, often traveling to see her favorite bands or experience new ones.
