Amy Paris
Product Manager, U.S. Digital Service

Amy Paris is a Product Manager and Digital Service Expert with the U.S. Digital Service (USDS). She is currently supporting the U.S. Department of State in rolling out X gender markers and transgender self-attestation for U.S. Passports. She also co-chairs the White House interagency policy committee on accurate and inclusive federal identity documents for transgender and gender diverse people, and serves as a sub-group co-chair on the Equitable Data Working Group. Additionally, she works with the U.S. Department of Labor in ensuring accessibility and equitability in unemployment insurance service modernization.

Previously at USDS, Amy led agency and government-wide hiring actions to bring data scientists into government through the SMEQA hiring strategy. Prior to USDS, Amy served as Policy Architect at a consulting firm supporting the Office of the Federal CIO and the Federal CIO Council on issues including open source software policy, cloud migration, and modernizing the federal IT workforce. This is her third presidential administration and she has been an instructor at a number of colleges and universities, teaching on subjects ranging from computer programming and hardware repair to political science and ethics. She holds a MA in International Science and Technology Policy, and a BS in Computer Science.
