Nishanshi Shukla is a PhD candidate in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is an interdisciplinary scholar working in the field of critical digital media studies and digital humanities, specifically critical data and code studies. Her research investigates power and politics of AI by studying caste based discrimination in India AI systems through a feminist and post-colonial lens.
