Miles Orkin drives talent and culture for the UX teams in Google Cloud and has been with Google for almost four years. Throughout his career, Miles has focused on engaging people’s passion and fostering new ideas that have cultural impact. In previous roles, he was National Director for Web and Mobile at the American Cancer Society, built and launched a social enterprise program for the McKesson Foundation, led a cross-functional innovation program at Wells Fargo, and was Staff Writer at Thrasher Skateboard Magazine.
For many years he was also front man for notorious SF punkfunkraprock act MCM and the Monster—probably the only band to open for Ice-T the rapper, and Ice-T’s heavy metal and Body Count. Miles is always open to gigs as a UX Emcee.
