Sylvie is a Civic Design Researcher at The Lab @ DC, an applied research team within DC Government. She is working to make DC a safer, healthier, and happier place to live, work, and play through resident-centered design. Some of her current projects are focused on housing stability and emergency responses to mental health crises. Sylvie is also an Independent Consultant specializing in Design Research, Innovation Education, and Mindful Coaching. In this work, Sylvie intertwines a systems thinking mindset with mental health and cognitive science tools to creatively support individuals and teams as they work towards a future with more equity, wellness, and connection. Sylvie holds a BS in Cognitive Science from Tufts University and a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University.
