Sweta is a Civic Design Researcher with The Lab @ DC. To this role, she brings experience in applying design thinking, facilitation, behavioral science, and marketing & business strategy to help make government services more accessible for DC residents. She has worked on projects focusing on gun violence, housing, child care education, and public transit.
Before The Lab @ DC, Sweta was a Senior Strategist at Blue State, where she led research projects for non-profits, political advocacy organizations, and brands to understand audience needs and motivations, and crafted engagement strategies to reach organizational objectives. Sweta was also a management consultant for Deloitte’s global & public sector, where she supported federal government agencies in addressing major business challenges relating to process improvement, organizational design, and strategic planning.
Sweta earned a Master of Science in International Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and a Bachelors of Arts in International Studies from Emory University.
