Kristin Taylor works to help local governments understand how the tools of design, research, and content strategy can improve its services.
Despite working in digital and technology environments, she never thinks about a problem as only a technological one. Processes, people, and policy all influence a service and its design. To make lasting improvements we have to work inside the organization to solve the root of the problem.
Currently Kristin is figuring out how we can practice equitable research and design within the constraints of government. And how technologists can spend more energy solving the right problems and less time deflecting terrible ideas.
Currently Kristin leads the practices of design, researchers and content strategists working at the oldest transit agency in the United States–the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
