Design better experiences for people by designing a better experience of working together internally. This workshop will teach you the creative collaboration skills you need to create products and provide services that go above and beyond your user’s and client’s expectations.
In the new normal of a virtual environment, connection and collaboration are some of the most important things we need to feel good about our work and do it well. This highly interactive workshop is designed to teach you new collaboration skills and how to actually put them into practice. Learn how to keep your team engaged, make sure they work well together across functions, and ensure their creativity doesn’t flag.
Connection and creative synergy are the key ingredients in effective teamwork and powerful co-creation. All too often in brainstorming and ideation sessions, no one is engaged, everyone wants to be somewhere else, and the group ends up coming up with the same tired solutions. Imagine having the confidence to share your ideas and trusting that you’ll be seen and heard. Imagine being in meetings where it isn’t the loudest ideas that are acted upon, but the ideas that are the product of the group being in a state of constant flow, sharing, incorporating, and amplifying each other’s ideas. And then, imagine that from this creative collaboration, your team and your company end up creating products and providing services that go above and beyond your user’s and client’s expectations.
In this workshop, by using the tenets of Unblock, Connect, Combine, Play, and Construct, participants will learn methods for recognizing and removing our personal creative blocks, developing strong communication skills to articulate and share ideas, as well as listening to and amplifying the ideas of others. The group will move on to become adaptable and responsive to the suggestions of others, combining ideas using play, and learning effective techniques for tapping into a group’s creative brilliance to reach higher levels of collective creative output and performance.
Through the process of taking a real-world problem and running through a series of creativity and innovation exercises to develop and execute upon an action-plan, the team will learn and actively apply best practices in creative collaboration for optimum team productivity and output. When these practices are incorporated into a company’s culture, it creates an environment where team members can more easily collaborate to produce and apply innovations in a meaningful and permanent way for themselves, their team, and their entire organization.

Who should attend

The workshop is designed for all levels of the organization, and is particularly useful for people at the management level. So often, managers are promoted because they’re good at process, but sometimes haven’t put as much focus on learning ways to get your teams to work better together internally or across the company. This course will teach you these skills.
