Renee Reid is a Staff UX Design Researcher at LinkedIn with over 20 years of professional experience in various roles including Project Management, Customer Experience, Sales and User Experience. She has lead research projects in Search and Discovery, Trust &Privacy & Identity. Renee also lead LinkedIn’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), the Black Inclusion Group (BIG) at the company’s headquarter campus in Silicon Valley.
A sought-after dynamic panelist, moderator, host, conference & international speaker, Renee’s passions include inspiring the next generation of tech professionals, being a voice and activist for BIPOC women, as well as introducing more underrepresented groups to tech & the UX industry.
A proud Historically Black College and University (HBCU) alumna from Savannah State University, Renee also received her Master’s in Human Computer Interaction and Design from the University of California, Irvine.
When she is not conducting research or speaking at an event, you can find Renee mentoring & inspiring students, professionals, people early in their Design & UX careers, and volunteering her time as a Board Member with 2 non-profits in the California Bay Area; Opportunity Junction and Inneract Project, an organization helping to introduce Design to underrepresented youth in Highschool. Always adorned in one of her many signature headwraps, people have affectionately crowned her, the Queen of Wraps.
