General Information

Who is putting on this event and how was it programmed?

Jemma Ahmed, Head of Insights at Bumble, and Chris Geison, User Researcher, are our program curators. They’re supported by Lou Rosenfeld and the Rosenfeld Media team, which has been making sure that attendees, speakers, and sponsors enjoy great conference experiences for over a decade.

The Rosenfeld Media team produces the Advancing Research Conference, making sure our attendees, speakers, and sponsors enjoy a great conference experience.

Will I be able to ask speakers questions?

Yes; we will have live Q&A sessions after every talk in the main stage program.

What other content will be provided?

As a registered attendee, you’ll receive exclusive access to edited session recordings, as well as sketchnotes, session notes, and decks. These will be posted from 24 hours to one week after the close of the conference on your personal password protected web page.

Are there other activities, like mixers, planned?

You’ll have many opportunities to participate in breakout sessions and other activities such as book clubs, small group sessions, product demonstrations, and fun activities such as happy hour, trivia and other activities carefully designed, curated and facilitated to maximize your user experience during the 2-day Conference.

In Person Experience

I bought an in-person ticket but now I can’t attend. What are my options?

Please refer to our refund policy for details on getting a refund.

What is your policy on vaccination and masks?

Our conference venue requires proof of vaccination prior to entry for all attendees, which may require utilizing an app as specified by the venue. Everyone will be required to wear a mask inside the venue unless you are actively eating or drinking. This policy is subject to change as per the venue’s requirements, as well as those of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control).

What if there is a surge in Covid-19, will the conference be postponed? 

We will follow CDC and New York City guidance regarding postponement due to Covid 19.

Regardless of the in-person conference’s status, the virtual conference will continue as planned. Should the in-person conference be postponed, you will have a credit that you can use to attend the virtual conference, a future conference, or workshop.  Credits will be in force for 36 months.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

We highly recommend that you purchase “cancel for any reason” travel insurance; it will provide you with the maximum of flexibility and protection.  Check with your insurance broker or try https://www.insuremytrip.com/.

Will you offer accommodations for people with disabilities?

Closed captioning will be available at the live event and will be projected onstage. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. If you need any additional accommodations, please contact customer service.

Will you have options for people with dietary restrictions?

Our menu offers gluten free and vegan options. If you have any other special diet requests such as Kosher, please contact customer service at least one week prior to the event.

Will the conference be recorded?

Yes, the recordings of the main conference program will be made available exclusively to paid conference attendees for one month via a password-protected area of our website. You’ll also receive exclusive access to sketchnotes, session notes, decks, and other conference-related materials.

Virtual Experience

Will I be able to ask speakers questions?

Yes; you can post your questions in the conference Slack channel, and we’ll do our best to make sure your questions are addressed by speakers.

Are there virtual activities planned?

I have a conflict and can’t attend the live event. Will I be able to access the content after the conference?

For folks that can’t attend live, we offer a conference recordings ticket for $597.50. You can purchase it on the registration page.
