Research Bridge

Dr. Paula Bach is a curator for the QuantQual Bridge interest group within the Rosenfeld Community and a Research Manager at Microsoft leading the Data Cloud Studio Research team. Her career has spanned over a decade producing and evangelizing customer insights to help teams make more human-centered product decisions. She earned a PhD in Human Computer Interaction at the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University. During her career at Microsoft she has helped shape code review and software diagnostic experiences in Visual Studio, documented workflows of data scientists, data engineers and data analysts for Power BI and Azure Data Factory, studied launching and switching efficiencies in Windows, and helped make the web better through improved browser experiences. She currently manages a team of researchers making the lives of data professionals better across an ecosystem of data products and services.

Dr. Iulia Cornigeanu is a curator for the Quant/Qual Bridge interest group of Rosenfeld Community. After a decade spent in the market research industry (where she specialized in brand and customer experience projects across different industries and territories), Dr. Iulia Cornigeanu smoothly transitioned to the UX realm, currently working as Principal User Researcher at Dunelm. With a deep passion for mixed methods and user-centered design (UCD), Iulia is focused on bridging the gap between data and human stories.
