Laura Schaefer lives in Toronto, ON, Canada. She’s the Director of Design Operations at Loblaw Digital, overseeing product design teams for Loblaw Media, Design System, and the Design Operations practice. Laura’s also an adjunct professor of Inclusive Design at Sheridan College’s Digital Product Design graduate program.

Working in the digital design space for over 15 years, she followed her interests and worked through various roles and skillsets, from illustration to experience strategy. Finally, she landed in Design Operations to support and scale the UX practice.

Laura can be found watching horror movies while embroidering or some other textile art. However, more and more of this time is spent fetching snacks for her preschool-aged daughter.
