Kate Stern is a Director of Design Program Management at Meta where she leads the Central Design and Instagram Design Program Management teams. Both teams operate with the goals of identifying how teams can most effectively and efficiently ship products, scale design initiatives and drive operational excellence.

Since joining Meta in 2009, Kate has worked on products in both the business and consumer orgs, as well as programming in areas such as learning, development, communications, brand, diversity, equity and inclusion. She loves oversimplifying complex problems and her favorite mantra is, “it’s not only what you do, it’s how you do it.”

Kate lives in Oakland, CA with her partner and his daughter and loves comic books, all things sci-fi, live music and has a potentially unhealthy obsession with dogs.
