After Eddie Ishak earned his Bachelors in Computer Science at UC San Diego in 2000, his career began as a software engineer at Microsoft who quickly found a desire to improve the usability of everyday products. He went back to school to earn his Masters and Ph.D. in Computer Science with a concentration on user interface interaction techniques from Columbia University in New York City. After a couple of stints at NYC start-ups doing web development and UI design, He found my niche at Bloomberg as an interaction designer. The growing department quickly gave him the opportunity to take on a design team responsible for the UI toolkit. 8 years later starting in 2019, He became the head of the department.
