Nidhi Singh Rathore is a South Asian designer and researcher who applies people-centered design methodologies to reimagine civic engagement. Her multidisciplinary design and value-centered practice focus on deconstructing nebulous concepts, bringing people together, and breaking down complex problems to activate a more conscious democracy. She leads civic design at Montgomery County and formerly worked for Mayor Garcetti’s Innovation Team, Stanford Impact Labs, and Microsoft. Nidhi’s practice focuses on social issues such as housing insecurity, social media economies, and gender & racial equity.
