Melanie Kahl is a transdisciplinary design leader who uses community-driven design to shape services, places, and organizations where people thrive.
Most recently, she launched Facebook’s first Community-in-Residence program, investing $5M in community builders on the forefront of equity, mutual aid, and inclusion. Melanie was an early leader at Dalberg Design where she built portfolios on gender, cities, and organizational design. Early in her career, she championed participatory approaches to designing schools with Perkins+Will, CannonDesign, and the Chicago Public Schools.
Melanie holds degrees in Social Policy and Business from Northwestern University and is guest faculty with Copenhagen Institute for Interaction Design.
