Call for Case Studies
Are you a UX designer, researcher, writer, or product person who is using AI to improve your practice or product? Then we’d love to learn more! We’re seeking speakers to present their case studies at Designing with AI 2025, a virtual conference taking place June 10-11, 2025.
Best practices & cutting edge
As the dust settles on the generative AI boom of 2023, UX and product professionals are beginning to incorporate AI into their standard practices. No longer a novelty, AI is becoming a workhorse to boost everyday productivity in ways that are specific to design, research, and writing.
At the same time, AI continues to evolve. Many design professionals are on the front lines, discovering novel use cases for existing types of AI and machine learning, and exploring emerging models in ways that will make them more human-centric.
We’re looking for case studies from practitioners on both ends of this spectrum:
- Best practices: What AI/ML best practices have you come to rely on for your design work? We want to know what models you’re using, how you’re using them, and why your approach is worth emulating.
- Cutting edge: Where are you using AI in ways that are completely novel? We want to hear about new use cases and/or emerging AI models that will make your peers excited about the future of design.
Note: While we’re emphasizing AI usage here, we recognize that sometimes the line between designing with and for AI can get blurry. If you’re working on AI and design in any capacity, we want to hear from you.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for usage throughout the product design and development process: from planning to ideation to prototyping to launch and beyond. We’re also looking for a range of AI/ML types, whether conventional machine learning, generative AI (text, images, video), or something else that doesn’t have mass adoption yet. (Note: we tend to be overwhelmed by proposals for LLMs for research synthesis; we very much want to hear about other applications as well.)
If selected, we’ll work collaboratively and iteratively with you through a supportive, three-month long preparation process to help you develop your presentation, and will pay you an honorarium.
