Her work includes designing gender-transformative digital agriculture toolkits; inclusive financial and cooperative services for rural communities in Kenya; agent-led distribution models for women-run FMCG networks in Ethiopia; and go-to-market strategies to improve uptake of agritech tools by rural women in India. More recently, she has led the design of responsible AI use cases focused on strengthening frontline health delivery, supervision systems, and digital financial inclusion for youth- and women-led MSMEs.
Across this work, Joy brings a critical, practice-driven lens to AI development, emphasizing ethical restraint, equity, localization, and trust in high-stakes contexts. She holds a BSc in Computer Science.
