Meet Sean McKay, CEO and Founder at Handrail

August 19, 2020

We are lucky to have so many wonderful sponsors of this year’s Enterprise Experience conference–and we thought you might like to get to know them better! We’ve asked all of them some questions that get at the heart of why they’re passionate about enterprise design and design operations, what it’s like to work with them, and what makes their products and services special to enterprise professionals.

Rosenfeld Media: Why are you sponsoring Enterprise Experience 2020?

Sean: Handrail is all about helping organizations succeed with research at scale. And learning how to scale is a big part of what the Enterprise Experience conference is about. We’re so excited to be returning for our third year as a sponsor! This community has such a depth of experience in user research. Everyone is so creative and generous with sharing how they are building up their research practices and integrating with the rest of the enterprise. We can’t wait to see what everyone is taking on this year!

Rosenfeld Media: What types of value and benefits do you/your product bring to the practice and our community?

Sean: Handrail is an enterprise research management platform. We help organizations with various aspects of ResearchOps—managing a private pool of participants, templates for interview guides and surveys, keeping files related to studies organized and accessible, etc. Most importantly, we’re a research repository built specifically for teams to easily store, find, and share research and insights. Through our Secure Enterprise Sharing feature, teams can share research responsibly with the rest of the organization without compromising PII. We also provide built-in workflows for planning research, collecting data, and performing analysis. For example, you can create interview guides, take notes together as a team, synthesize data, and share insights with stakeholders, all inside of Handrail. You can even reference data that was collected outside of Handrail using other tools. We’ll be chatting with folks during the conference, so everyone should stop by our lounge or Slack channel! We genuinely love hearing about all the different research practices and processes that folks are building up in their organizations.
