DesignOps Summit 2021 – Theme 3: The Future of DesignOps (Alana Washington)

Day 3 Curator – Alana Washington, Senior Design Manager, Uber Freight

Day3 – The Future of DesignOps

I am very excited to share with all of you day three of design off Summit, the future of design Ops.

As Bud, Kristen, and I were reviewing the survey responses about what you hope to see in this year’s designing summit one theme was very clearly, and that was around the future

We hear from this community that to some degree you’re all very excited about the future of DesignOps because you are charting the course together and that’s something that we do through this conference, through our communities

I’m excited to bring to you a set of speakers and panelists who are doing just that. They’re going to be sharing frameworks and stories and best practices and provocations for finding exactly where you are today. And helping to chart a preferable and probable course forwards

The State of DesignOps 2021 Global Report (Angelos Arnis)

  • Talk about his State of DesignOps report, which is an incredible baseline about where we are today, and where we’re headed next, collectively

State of DesignOps Panel (Meredith Black, Tim Gilligan, Bria Alexander)

  • Panel discussion – Dig into some of the concepts that we saw in the survey responses from you all, but also some things that are top of mind for the panelists themselves and pulling on some threads that we hear from Angelos report

DesignOps and Content Strategy: Envisioning the Future Together (Natalie Dunbar)

  • Convergence of content strategy and design operations and charting a course together. She’s got some great tactical, easily applicable, but also digestible chunks in there about how to chart a future course

Defining DesignOps Strategy Using Maturity Models (Benjamin Real)

  • Wayfinding and the future of wayfinding

Have we Reached Our Peak? Spotting the Next Mountain For DesignOps to Climb (John Calhoun)

  • Reaching our peak and figuring out if we reached our peak and how to find the next one

Look, Think, Act: The Futures-Smart Design Organization (April Reagan)

  • Lead us through provocations and thoughts about how we chart where we want to be once, we leave here

We have some amazing, sponsored sessions sprinkled throughout that support the theme that will allow you to play around with these awesome tools that are supporting Rosenfeld and this conference

Lets dig in!
