Speaking at the 2025 DesignOps Summit: Call for Proposals

The ninth DesignOps Summit is coming up (September 10-11, virtual), and there may be a place for you on the program!

We’re looking for case studies and other great stories or demonstrations of Design Operations in action. The best proposals will cover models, skills, practices, and experiences that have elevated and amplified operational excellence in design, as well as how DesignOps intersects with and influences other operational domains such as product management, engineering, research, marketing, compliance, and customer experience.

Each day of the conference is dedicated to a theme:

  • Day 1—DesignOps Craft: What critical skills and best practices empower designers and design teams to succeed? How might we improve upon the fundamentals of our craft? In addition to stories about your design team or org, we welcome perspectives on how operational practices can support broader impact and collaborative problem solving with partners in research, accessibility, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Day 2—DesignOps Futures: How might we, as DesignOps professionals, extend design’s impact through cutting-edge applications of technology, novel collaboration models, and deeply integrated operational strategies that enable design to drive meaningful business outcomes across domains? How can we operationalize design not just within design teams, but across the full business ecosystem?

We’re looking for four case studies per day. Each case study will run 20-25 minutes. Apply below; you’ll have the opportunity to suggest the theme most appropriate for your submission.

If selected, we’ll work collaboratively and iteratively with you through a supportive, three-month long preparation process to help you develop your presentation. Important note: This unusually time-intensive, iterative, collaborative process will begin in mid-June. There are important milestones, deadlines and expectations: you will be expected to participate in 3-4 conference calls, submit multiple versions of your talk, receive and incorporate feedback, and provide feedback to other speakers. This level of effort and support will ensure you give perhaps the best presentation of your career. Please be sure you can meet these commitments before applying.

The submission deadline is May 16, 2025; please contact [email protected] with any questions.
