Software Development and Integration Manager

We’re seeking a Software Development and Integration Manager to support our growth through enhancing and augmenting our digital infrastructure including our website, ecommerce, database, analytical, accounting, and other SAAS applications.

This is a full-time position; you’ll be our lead internal technical expert supporting our inhouse front end development and working with  our development agency. You will report to our Director of Operations and will collaborate with our Executive, Marketing, and Accounting Departments.

We are headquartered in New York City; while we are virtual-first, this position requires regular visits to our Manhattan office and workday availability in the Eastern Time Zone. Salary and bonus are commensurate with experience and performance. Benefits include medical, dental, paid sick leave, holiday and vacation time off, and participation in our 401K/Profit Sharing Plan including company matching contributions.

We’re seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Integration: Work with consultants to design and maintain our digital platform, conduct searches for new tools, plug-ins and SAAS, own responsibility for coordinating and documenting integration, and understand interaction among the various components.
  • WordPress Development: Supervise backend WordPress developers, both freelance and partners. As an experienced full-stack developer, supplement development as necessary 50-75% of hours. Recruits development resources as needed. Work with Operations, Marketing, Accounting and Partners to develop, enhance and support front-end development and maintenance, UX, and desktop information systems.  Provide practical advice around maximizing efficiency and ease of use.
  • Front End: Writes scripts based on a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Collaborates with team members on front-end maintenance and UX.
  • Hosting: Manages hosting partner to assure 100% uptime and acceptable website responsiveness.
  • Salesforce Development: Collaborates with outside Salesforce developers. Identifies user and business needs. Responsible for data analytics. 
  • Project Management. Assure development projects have reasonable timelines and meet goals.
  • Quality Control: Maintain documentation of all application integrations and customizations and is responsible for quality control. 
  • Quickbooks: Support Accounting in adding and integrating features including inventory control.
  • MIS: Support management needs for data analysis.

The ideal candidate’s experience includes:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in full-stack development—and ready to assume responsibility for managing an increasingly diverse IT environment.
  • BA or BS in computer science, related field or demonstrable experience.
  • Competency with G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Excel and Basecamp.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data driven and analytical.
  • Flexible, creative and willing to learn new things, learn from mistakes, and contribute to our innovation process.

Business Development Manager

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to grow the revenue of our conference and training programs-currently four annual conferences, and dozens of workshops per year and growing.

You’ll report to our Senior Director of Sales and Marketing and be responsible for:

    • Business development efforts to create and grow event sponsorships, partnerships, and training offerings by creating personal relationships with our contacts at major corporations and prospecting for new opportunities.
    • Follow up with past sponsors and maintain sponsor relationships
    • Take an active role in maintaining and advancing the sponsor customer experience at both in-person and virtual events
    • Collaborate with Marketing to build leads and awareness of Rosenfeld Media and our offerings
    • Continuous improvement of your selling skills
    • Taking a data-driven and analytical approach to prioritizing your sales and client management activities

The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Effective use of time and a proven system of time-management
  • Formal sales training a plus but will consider training for top candidate
  • 2-3 years outside sales experience—preferably with conferences or training—selling to tech and large corporations
  • BA from an accredited college
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of technology competency including G-suite, Excel, Salesforce, Slack, social media and Basecamp or other project management software
