Ed is a serial entrepreneur and expert in helping family and other closely-held businesses achieve profitable growth and transitions. From an early start in businesses, including selling seeds and Fuller Brush door-to-door, Ed moved up to furniture rental and retail, real estate investing, investment management, and consulting with manufacturers, real estate, retail, metals, and media companies on innovation, profitability, growth and taxation. Along the way he spent 15 years as CEO of the Rosenfeld family business, which was sold to Berkshire Hathaway in 2003. He is a Black Belt in Innovation Engineering, which is based on lean manufacturing principles, and has taught entrepreneurship at Rutgers University. Ed graduated from Columbia University with degrees in Anthropology.<\/p>\n
