Deanna is a researcher and anthropologist at Stripe Partners, a consultancy that applies social science, data science, and design methods to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation across technology, healthcare, and other sectors. Using ethnographic methods, she has led projects exploring AI and virtual worlds and played a key role in research on video gaming and Alzheimer’s treatment.
Before transitioning to anthropology, Deanna spent 7+ years in television programming and writing at major studios including FOX, Sony Television, and NBCUniversal. She honed her understanding of narrative and audience engagement and, coinciding with the streaming revolution, helped develop content strategies that continue to shape the TV landscape today.
Her dual expertise in research and entertainment reflects a deep commitment to understanding people’s lived experiences to bridge gaps and foster meaningful change. Deanna holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from University College London and a BA in Film Studies and Public Relations from the University of Georgia.
