Robert Fabricant has worked at the forefront of design & technology for more than 25 years, creating everything from interactive environments to smart infrastructure to medical equipment for clients like Nike, GE & UNICEF. These days Robert leads the global team at Dalberg Design with studios in Dakar, London, Mexico City, Mumbai, Nairobi and NYC where he applies human centered design to address societal challenges for clients like the Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Lego and the InterAmerican Development Bank. Robert also serves on the board of Praekelt.org, a South African tech company that develops mobile services that reach more than 100 million people including HealthConnect, the leading COVID-19 messaging service. Previously, Robert served as the VP of Creative for frog design. A frequent presenter at IxDA conferences since 2009, Robert holds numerous patents in technology and media and recently co-authored User Friendly which was selected by Amazon as one of the top 100 books of 2019 and hailed by the New York Times as a “tour de force.”
