Getting to New York City

You'll fly into LaGuardia, Newark or JFK Airports. For information about the airports and transportation from the airports into the city, visit the Port Authority web site.

Getting to Poet's House

By Subway: Take the 1, 2, 3, A, or the C to the Chambers Street Station.
By Bus: The M20 or M22 stop within a block of the location.
By Train: Penn Station is located in midtown at 7th Avenue and 32nd Street. Amtrak, New Jersey Transit and Long Island Railroad all stop at Penn Station. The nearest PATH train stop is at the World Trade Center.
By Car: There are public parking garages located nearby.

Getting around New York City

The Metropolitan Transit Authority provides subway maps, bus route maps and schedules. Taxis are generally easy to flag down.

Hotels

Hotels within walking distance include the Marriott Downtown, Millennium Hilton and the Holiday Inn (Wall Street). There are numerous on-line hotel reservation services that offer discounted rates.

Meals

Continental breakfast will be provided from 8:30-9am. Snacks for the two coffee breaks are included. There are many restaurant choices for lunch nearby; a list of local restaurants and addresses will be provided at the workshop.
